Yes very true, and back when we were working on this project we found that kits like the one OP listed actually open the hood less than the stock position for the hood prop. So when we designed our kit we made sure our opening position was significantly higher:

Good luck to you though OP, as I couldn't build a decent kit at cost in my garage for that price.
