My second (last) prediction, is that Toyota/Subaru will continue to keep things simple , because that is the real key (not that things need to become more complicated / more techno).

Keep engine at similar output, maybe 210 hp/ 160 torque , but increase MPG by 10-12% ( 30 city / solid 40 hwy). Keep driving dynamics otherwise the same, same weight , slightly different looks, possibly a bit more aero, . ... and evolve , or de-evolve from there.
