Yeah you are right, it has been quite a few years since I did my IRP install I thought that came off with the carrier. I would imagine the part KPower sells to get the stock shifter to work, should also work with the IRP. In the case of the shift rod extension, I think it would be easier to just make a new one. The OE one looks cast, I don't think I would want to weld it. It is about 9" center to center.

Thanks for the measurement, I know they said they will be creating a new shifter carrier so I assume that would come with a new rod as well. I’m betting we will be able to use any shifter that would normally work in a stock 86.
