This is for a T56, but they are usually an offset linkage that is in a 'L' shape. The key to making these things feel like the original is just using quality components, so there isn't odd torque because of the extended lever arm that causes twisting or bending. If done poorly, these can feel sloppy or less direct. If designed poorly then any slop or wiggle room just gets compounded.
I doubt this setup would be compatible with aftermarket shifters like the IRP short throw shifter, but we will see.

I’d be sad to have to ditch the IRP but there’s no way it would work having the trans moved back 4” (unless you break out the sawzall and drill but then your center console is going to need a facelift).
