Does this mean the "warranty" on the recall work is basically bogus? They ruin your engine and then want you to pay $7-8k? Multiple people have the same story to tell.
Sad. If they don't want to stand behind their work, they need to let FR-S owners have work done by Subaru the first time around.
Trying not to lose my faith in Toyota over things I read on the interwebs...I don't mean the techs, not really their fault they're unfamiliar with a boxer engine. But the fault of dealers and corporate if they don't take care of you when their techs are unable to properly fulfill the recall.
