Seems legit. As for my own machine, I've run the mobile-1 0w-20 exclusively and adjust my oil cooler flow to maintain ~75 PSI max pressure. It coincidentally works out to ~180 degrees F, which is in line with the service manual.

I think engine longevity is more tied to build precision/quality than choice of lubricant. If the bearings are going to scuff hard, might as well get the rebuild over with sooner than later.
