That is probably why that car is for sale again. Someone else had it for sale a month ago. Even paying 2-3k for a good used engine 5500 is still a good buy........ if you have the ability to work on it.
I did purposely buy an engine with a spun bearing to rebuild so I know what I am getting into if I decide to buy something and take that on.
There is an auto in the NW sale thread for 6k, needs engine
