Honestly, I'm not sure why you would need to run the Home edition. In fact because Home does not include BitLocker for disk encryption I would recommend NOT running it. I've run Pro at home for as long as there has been a Pro version, and never had an issue. As far as I know there is no problem running both versions on different computers either.

Dell has just quoted a price to build a Precision with the Home o/s. I suppose this gives me the option to upgrade to Pro. Like you say you can't go backwards, or as @
humfrz would put it "can't reverse!"
