On FRS I installed the UEL and Catback at the same time. It did seem less smooth than before but I attributed it adding catback amplifying any original roughness in the engine. At higher RPMs the rumble from exhaust drowns out the roughness so it doesn't bother me much

zero long term issues. If you're stopped at a light, you'll get a little more heat soak than usual, but no more than a K&N FPIK.
