Well now, ichitaka05, it appears you have some stuff stacking up on you and maybe the paint job on your car just pushed you a bit too far.

Things like:

* wife being pregnant - your anxiety about fatherhood - her mood swings

* remodeling - your house all torn up - her nest all torn up

* COVID - and all that goes along with it for both of you

* work challenges

* country in political turmoil

* not having your car in tip top shape

Any one of those things can be stressful and the number of them that adds to the list increases the stress exponentially (or so it seems).

What to do? You have already thought of the solution to bring the stress level back to a manageable level - "buy new side skirts. It’s not crazy expensive, so buy new, get it painted by different shop, install it", - just DO IT.
