We can guarantee a complete transformation in terms of sound quality with the factory head unit, but we understand the desire to upgrade taking into account the features you noted above. We would recommend the Pioneer AVIC, NEX, AVH series of head units. We have worked with these closely over the past few years and have been happy with the results in the 86/FR-S/BRZ platform.
