A modern body shop can put things back to within microns of factory spec. There are cars that come off the line that are not within microns of factory spec. I am not "sugar coating" anything. Every car that get banged up is not a total loss and can be repaired as good as new. If you had a bad repair and accepted it that is on you and does not condemn the whole repair industry that fixes hundreds of thousands of cars with zero issues.
