Thank you.
In my profession, I often have to get creative in finding alternate ways to get equipment working again temporarily, until I can come back with the right parts to fix the equipment properly. I actually consider myself one of the best in my profession at being able to do this. 30 years experience and you learn many tricks of the trade. One of the most important things I've learned is that you never stop learning.
This issue with the Harman head units seems to me like Toyota and Harman got together for a quick fix of a problem (having a negative output on a pin that should have had a positive output instead) and then not returning to fix the problem correctly.
Hopefully the problem will be gone with the new generation.
