This design might have debuted in 2015; my aunt's previous 2015 Camry used the exact same key fob. I can also confirm that the backs are completely interchangeable too (test fit her key cover with my key and it fit). Yep I had no idea when they actually changed it but was answering more based on the original question.

What is this "key" you all speak of anyway?
