Wheel Spacers/Lugs Question

I'm considering some mild (10mm-ish) hub centric spacers for my Gen2 GR86.

I'm aware these cars have a reputation for the wheel lugs being made from soft cheese so there's non-zero cause to just change them out while I'm doing that anyway, but I'm not entirely convinced I want to do that right now.

So the question is: How thick can you go on wheel spacers before you need longer lugs?

Follow up question: if I want/need to replace the lugs, what's the best way to be sure I'm getting good ones and not some crappy knock-off alloy that's going to shear off under load?
