I looked at 2016 WRX at at used car lot for a buddy yesterday. Opened the door and the stench of cotton candy and bubblegum was overpowering!
I asked if the engine was stock and they said "ummmm pretty much" then declined to open the hood so I could look. Didn't matter because the smell, Ebay exhaust and rotors & calipers brush painted with orange house paint told me everything I needed to know about the previous owner.
Politely told them the $26,000 they wanted for it was complete bullshit even in this market.
