The caliper flex was very concerning and it's not hard to imagine how it could lead to a failure. It was ridiculous.

I'm curious about caliper flex and how it's tested. You mention it can be seen by eye. Does that imply the car is at rest and brake pedal is pushed hard and flex can be seen?? Is this the standard way flex is checked?? I would assume rotor movement would play into this somewhere but I'm not sure. There's also alignment of caliper to rotor and mounting points.
Any chance you might share a bit on the ins and outs??
