What HKS exhaust do you have? I have Cosworth EL headers with the rest of my HKS set up and it sounds pretty throaty still.
Also, the HKS uel headers do look pretty cool, imo. Also that tiny cat in it is unlikely to affect performance whether you knock it out or not. Honestly, I say go for it if you have to money.
