I snapped a brass oil galley adapter at 27 ft/lbs, using my craftsman torque wrench. Only mentioning the brand as it is more accurate than my harbor freight for lighter torque numbers. I read that 27 was OEM spec.
2.) There are steel oil galley plug adapters, any issues running these? Good bad?

Never use brass or aluminum in a high vibration area. (AKA screwed into a block) Steel is always good.
