The amp in the trunk is totally bypassed and it seems that the door speakers are powered with the dash speakers from the HU alone. This of course makes the door speakers sound horrible. I don't know if there is anything that can be done about it but I would just like to use the stock amp if there is a way. Other wise I will rip it all out (well somebody will not me) and then stomp it into little pieces out of sheer frustration.
These are the installation instructions but of course they don't go into any wiring detail.
