no one in their right mind should have thought this car was going to be a mid 5 second car. All the early press indicated a mid 6 sec vehicle and when insideline came out and says 7.0 due to the rev limiter people suddenly felt like they were let down.
There are going to be midsize cars (weighing 800 lbs more) with huge V6 engines that are faster to 60 but none will be as engaging to drive. I'll say again, given the price, if speed is your thing, the aftermarket will have many options to make the car go faster at all kinds of reasonable price points.
