There is a built in pressure gauge but it's just a dummy switch. The light comes on when the oil pressure is low but by then, it's already too late. So you'd be plugging in an aftermarket one that you can monitor the pressure with in it's place.
You can T into it so keep the light off.

Mine is disconnected, no light
I am running aftermarket pressure sensor in that location, left the stock oil temp sensor so I could log it on my OFT.
