I use piece of shit used 04 STI injectors and made 330whp on 93. It's not that it doesn't work, it's that it can always we better. For some of us, "better" is something not worth chasing for what we may see as a marginal quality of life improvement.
I agree that those viewing this thread shouldn't think "1050x or GTFO". Hell, I have a cxracing $199 dollar turbo that runs great too. And I don't use a BOV! There are far BETTER choices to be made, but they work well enough for me and that's what counts, really.
The 1050x is just a top tier choice for quality of life with tuning. If I spent money on injectors, honestly I'd probably go with them just to see for myself what the benefits are.
