So you're saying, change the pistons and head. That's most of the engine, and the majority of the R&D (combustion chamber, ports, valvetrain), why not just make a new shortblock too so you can use the engine for another 10 years?

Dimman holy smokes, 14.5 CR and E85? That sounds like a beast. 340hp crank is a lot even for 9200rpm, I would have guessed around 300hp with E85. Maybe the 3S combustion chamber responds really well to those high comp pistons. But it begs the question, why not do that to a K20? You don't need a Motec, the stock ECU will be just fine with Hondata.
