You're looking at 2019 "premium" weight vs. 2022 limited.

From your links to Subaru brochure data:
2019 Limited MT: 2798 lb
2022 Limited MT: 2835 lb

Difference = 37 lb

Closer to +40 lb. heavier than +17 lb.

Car and Driver "as-tested" BRZ Limited weights:
2017: 2777 lb.
2022: 2843 lb.

Difference = a lot more...

It's a heavier car despite the removal of the ~26 lb. spare tire
