You still can downshift. Or just put it in SPORT mode.
Simple bolt on parts are not going to give you much HP. The best bang-4-buck power is: E85 +header + tune. You will feel it, but nothing like a turbo.
I am happy with the power my stock 2013 AT has after 7 years. I can pass when I want to.
