No tune should result in a code yes. The diameter of the intake tube is greater than stock. Without a tune the MAF sensor will under-report the actual amount of air going into the engine.

I'm not super knowledgeable about Open Flash Tuner, but if it would let you adjust MAF Calibration (like any good tuning platform should), then this intake will work with OFT.

Perrin does supply the MAF calibration file directly from their website
