I did a short drive in a 2022 BRZ today, and I felt that the steering wasn't as good as my 2018. Obviously lighter, it did feel less twitchy and less direct. Can't comment on outright communicativeness, but for non-10/10 driving I liked the old gen steering more. Also, on center feel was worse, with a noticeably wider dead zone. If the old steering rack is a direct fit, at the very least it should help with the on center feel.

This is interesting, and not the first time I heard that the Evora has better steering than the Elise. I haven't drove an Evora, but have drove an Elise and I will be really shocked to find out that any car can top the Elise for steering feel. I guess that if any car can, it would be another Lotus. Now I need to go find an Evora to take for a spin...
