Dead steering is to soften the peaky Supra. CE Tada-san didn't want to make a peaky car. He wanted a sports car that everyone can enter into the corner without freaking out (I still did lol). Supra already have short wheelbase plus it spool a lot early (than you expect), make it sharp steering wheel will make you fight w the steering wheel instead of focus driving on the track/road... but reality is, not a lot of Supra gonna be driving in the track, so I get some Supra owner's complaints.
I had a chance to drive both Supra & 86 at the track, back to back to back to back (both on the track & road). They're both different car (Apple to Orange). Supra is a fast car, while 86 is a fun car. Is that mean 86 better? That's all up to your preference.
