I can tell you right now, HIGHLY unlikely that there's a physical dipstick. BMW started eliminating them
over 10 years ago.
My Porsche doesn't have one either, but it actually makes sense in this application given where the engine is located. Still, if I forget to check the oil level before starting the engine, I have to wait 10-15 minutes for a reading.
