If you wanna stay in 17's. Can do 8~9 width (depends on which autox class you wanna stay). Offset, you got technically go til +32, it won't poke out (depends on wheel design, tire width & camber).

You can go into 18's. Just remember wider and bigger you go, less comfortable daily driving gonna be (due to tire wall).

As for the tire setup, 225 width is a standard for the twins... unless you put FI, then it's different story.Bolt on mods won't need wider than 225 tires, just get stickier tires. From there, you decide on how sticky you want your tires. But like other member said, more sticky it gets life of the tires become shorter.

I had good amount of different wheels & tires setup. Wheels: 17x8+55, 17x9+35, & 18x8+35. Tires: 235/40-17, 245/40-17 & 225/40-18. But in the end, I enjoy 17x8+35 w 225/45-17 setup for everything. Great offset, flushed w the fenders (maybe just fraction inside) & tires get enough traction.
