They're Street tires, they only put down so much power, it will never be able to use the same amount of power of an SM car on 315 Hoosier A7s, and the dominant 240sx Panda makes less than 400 at the wheels. Same story with the kiesel Sprite.
Weight will be the 86s advantage against the 350/370Z, and I'd prefer Edelbrock sc for a broader torque curve, the 86s weakest point, but the jrsc is certainly more proven.
However a well built AWD car will be quite formidable, xs will be dominated by determination, not chassis choice since it's a supplemental class.
