Yes it matters what transmission the donor car is, it needs to match your car.
eBay is still the best place to find one, although pricing has gone up. Search for “BRZ ABS pump” and “86 ABS pump”. Most eBay sellers list the spec of the donor car so you can get the correct transmission.
