Largest one in the US $1.586B (as in Billion), and was split between 3 winners. Largest single winner was $1.537B, and took the cash option of $878,000,000.

Those are very rare, only happened twice and that is after they changed the lottos so they have even longer odds and cost twice as much. The tenth highest was around $580M, so it goes down quickly.

The $150M range is fairly frequent, but usually follows a period of several weeks with no winner. The US has two large regional lotteries with two drawings each a week. There is no "national" lottery as they are all state or multi-state sponsored.
