Now having said that I did spend much of my driving life with cars that had no power brakes, steering or anything else. Some even had vacuum powered windshield wipers and tube AM only radios. Let's not even go down the bias ply tire road. So even the modern bare bones base models are luxurious.

I had an early 90s civic with no power steering at one point and that's just a forearm exercise in parking lots lol.



Some amenities have definitely been fantastic adds but some are just frivolous at this point. It was 28* when I left the house this morning and I'd still never go for seats that feel like i crapped myself.

And thanks... I had to look up vacuum powered windshield wipers LOL
