I see the appeal in swapping to a V8 powerplant. People do it in drifting with damn near every car. Why?
Broad powerband, instant torque, less clutch work needed etc etc. People use the swap in cars in all different types of motorsports.
I'm just a bit too much of a purist. If I had another S chassis, I'd stay SR20. If I did anything with the FRS/BRZ, it would be either boost the stock motor or swap to a 1JZ motor.
Only vehicle I would probably do a V8 swap with is an FC. I love the 13B Rotary but GAWD, so many people just seem to have bad luck with them after a while.
