That sucks!
Someone that knows what they are doing can do that job quick and not remove too much clear coat. Often I find the "cheap" place will do more harm than good by spinning the rotary and using a heavy compound, because it will cut down quick by leaves a horrid finish and removes too much CC.
I can't say enough about Opti Coat/Guard for this kind of thing. That bird crap would have not stained or etched the paint like that. Here is some reading on the product and I can put you into contact with someone that can help apply it.
