In a perfect world and a perfectly happy motor, both the Knock Correction and Knock Learn Value would be 0 at all times. The more random the knock is the more likely it is phantom knock and not real knock. My Knock Learn Value is almost always zero, and I normally only get some Knock Correction at throttle tip in. The thing you really have to worry about is if you have a negative Knock Learn Value and are seeing constant Knock Correction with full throttle and under boost. That means the ECU is consistently seeing knock in that area and is trying to do the best it can to correct it. The Knock Learn Value is more like a long term knock correction where the ECU says I have seen knock here before so I will pull timing even if I don't see knock where the Knock Correction is I see knock right now I am going to pull timing.
