Well, Do it like I did:
I ordered in December '12. Due to really bad supply in Namibia, I am still waiting for a production date. There's a good chance mine will be a '14 model, but without the excesive waiting list for one.
Differences to the '13? None. I still want it in what's known as Pearl White here (whiteout for the Scion buyers), and other than that it'll have one or two software issues sorted out, that every '13 can get as well.
In short: Order one, if it doesn't take long to get, you get a GREAT car earlier. If it takes long, you get a '14 model of a GREAT car.
