Sounds like this could be easily fixed with my "raise gas pedal" mod. Put spacers underneath the gas pedal assembly on the two threads for the nuts. See if that fixes the problem.
I raised both gas pedals on my two FRSs ~1cm or more so that I could make heel-toe a bit easier.
