If according to Tanahashi driving pleasure is the first priority, why not provide a proper manual in the LFA? Sure the floppy paddle gearbox is faster but it doesn't connect the driver to the car. The 911 GT3 RS still embodies a full on race car that still involves the driver for me. First of all it has NEVER been universally agreed that a traditional manual=driving pleasure, I found A LOT of enjoyment in taking an M6 to redline and the SMG banging off an upshift fast enough to send a "BRRRAPP" out the exhaust. And Actually in another interview with Tanahashi he stated they chose an older style automated manual specifically because of the raw mechanical feel compared to a twin clutch setup while keeping the F1 inspiration. A perfect example of the devotion, they selected a system that has SLOWER shift times on purpose to make sure the driver is feeling the right sensation.
