Sure but argument could be made that no Scion was ever priced over $20k until the FRS came along. Now all of a sudden the FRS is 30% more expensive than the 2nd most expensive car in the lineup.
I don't doubt that the Supra will be well over $30k (probably closer to $60-70k if I had to guess) but that doesn't stop Toyota from making a interesting decision if they view Toyota as the green/boring lineup, Lexus as the luxury brand and Scion as the sporty/fun lineup. Not saying if a Supra came out it would be a Scion, I'm just saying many of us were surprised the FRS was not a Toyota here in the USA.
