Lotus Car company is a mess. Who knows what will happen to them. The Elise/Exige has not been sold in the US for years since it does not offer stage 2 airbags (you cannot sell a car in the US without them).

I have always wanted an Elise or Exige, but they are hard to find and very expensive. The BRZ is good enough for me
