Robi's setup does something similar, except using the radiator to provide both water and some air cooling to the oil.
Those OEM style systems in general I haven't found to be super helpful, my ITR still hits close to 300 degrees oil temps on the track with one. :shrug: The cooling is happening from the water coolant, but the housing gets heatsoaked and the oil isn't there long enough to cool much.
If I werent going for a separate cooler, I'd run Robi's setup instead.
