We have a dedicated thread to the transmission/gearbox. I can say for certain that the box is an Aisin sourced unit. The assumption is that it is the AZ6 since that is commonly used for sub 200ft-lb engines.

The AZ6 is also known for certain weakpoints and consistent problems across different cars from the MX-5/RX8 to the S15 and even the S2000. I'm leery that there will be problems.

It's a subcompact car with RWD. The back seats will be usable but not comfortable.
