The "torque dip" hardly bothers me at all now.
I've got used to the schitzo nature of this magnificent car, and I've learnt to drive around that.

I either tootle around in "calm and gentle" mode below 4000rpm, or cross the torque divide once and "give it horns" keeping it between 5000 and 7500rpm.

I said "hardly bothers" because I still get a bit frustrated if I have to gear down several cogs to get enough grunt for quick overtaking when necessary.
But that's OK, because it's more than balanced out by what's great.
