Reading some of the comments about the different cars, performances etc, it's obvious to me that Andrew and Sam have the handling sorted for their cars. Bill's car is still being dialed in, and from Christy's blog, it's very difficult to drive fast when you are continually making changes and are not sure what the car is going to do.
When I built my MX5, it took about 18 months to get it dialed in, and it took me about that much time to get used to RWD after driving AWD for many years.
So, you put Andrew in a well sorted car, on courses that are not too slow, and not too fast, and the result is not surprising.
As for moving the cars to STR, well, you would need to move STC there as well, since they were faster than STX. A lot of that comes down to the courses.
And great job Dave in that video... you seemed mildly excited at the finish
I think we all dream of having that feeling occasionally, which is why we keep doing this sport.
