Hey, I don't really want to create a new thread for such a similar question, at the same time, I don't want to jack your thread...
Hopefully you get something out of my question as well.
If I were to stick with stock wheel size 17x7, is it worth it to switch tires? Like the OP, I'm not doing too many mods.
I just want something that performs a bit better. Should I just leave the stock rubber and then upgrade to 17x8 after stock wears out?
I've only gone to a few track events, but I enjoy spirited runs etc... and am considering some decent tires:

question becomes, is it worth it to get these nice tires on only a 7width wheel?
as an aside, are the sidewalls of v12's really that soft and bad?
