Was just perusing the Engine section and found a thread about removing a spring in the clutch pedal assembly which makes it feel heavier.
Poster was used to a heavier clutch. The part removed photo looked like it was next to some crankshaft bushings and a piston/con-rod.
Hope it doesn't need to be disassembled that far
