At my first track day at Watkins Glen (full course), during my third session, my instructor brings along one of those 16oz Solo cups filled water, and says, "If I stay dry you are solo'd."

Not only did he stay dry, but I was about 1.5s faster than my previous session. Proving that smooth is fast.
